We head over to Upper Hartwell and into Eythorpe Park before gradually climbing up Waddesdon Hill and returning into Stone. The walk is very pretty with meadows, river and woodland, picturesque boat houses and a river swing if tempted. We can picnic under large oak trees or in the gardens on Eythrope Park (please bring sandwiches). On our return we pass through fields and a graveyard and have access to an historical church before heading back to Hartwell Hall. A sumptuous afternoon tea overlooking the terrace and gardens with the warmth of a large log fire and relaxing sofas in the library is booked for those who wish to indulge (more details nearer the time). www.hartwell-house.com
