Mainly flat, with the contrasting water features of the Grand Union Canal / Tring Reservoirs against the back drop of the Chilterns Hills with the iconic prominentary of Ivinghoe Beacon.
The carpark is located where the Ridgeway path crosses the Ivinghoe to Aldbury road (Stocks Road) about a mile south east of Ivinghoe.
There is no sign on the road indicating the car park but the entrance to it is via a large gap in the hedge row with a height restriction barrier.
Locating the walk - copy the grid reference SP955148 and then go to MultiMap, or The Ordnance Survey, and paste the reference into the search box. A map showing the start location will appear, which you can scroll in and out of. For TomTom etc, paste the reference into PostCode Finder and then click on [Lookup Nearest Postcode].
