Red days are currently available but please do leave it for the Walks Programme Co-ordinator to change the availablity of the dates. Instructions on how to submit the details of your planned walk are shown below at the end of the currently published walks list.
Red days are available for someone to volunteer to lead a walk. Weekly, we look to having two walks on Sunday, one on Saturday and in Summer one in mid-week. The list above or the map will let you see where other walks are planned so you can choose a new place if you want to. If you are flexible on the date, just put your available dates in the Walk Details Form.
If you already know the walk details, complete the Walk Details Form , and email it, or, if you still have to plan the walk, just send a rough idea to walks@chilterns2030s.co.uk and follow-up with the form as soon as possible please. If you need help to find the Grid Reference for the form, then Getamap will help you provide it. Please do send the form in quickly after a rough idea or the reserved day might get freed up again and your name will be mud!
As an option, you can login to the Ordnance Survey Explore service, and use this to put a Route Map in the comments part of the form e.g. as was done for the High Wycombe walk. The username is `chilterns2030s` and the password is `ch1lterns` (note the `i` replaced with a digit `1`). Don`t put personal details on the route as it`s permanent and the www can see it.
When the form is received, the Walks Programme Co-ordinator will approve a walk or suggest any changes. Please be aware a date is not definite until you get an email confirmation. If a day is left at Red by the Walks Programme Co-ordinator then another walk is wanted for that day. This is liable to happen most for Sundays, but the Walks Programme Co-Ordinator may well turn a one-walk Sunday to Grey until we have got one walk elsewhere as needed and then open it up to Red again.
